Why Do You Like The Jersey Shore? "The Juice Heads Of Course!"

Being a girl born in the land of the NJ (FYI never call me a Jersey Girl unless you feel like spending the afternoon pulling my fist out of your lower abdomen), I feel it is my duty to expose the guidocity that has become most of the Jersey shore and let others know that IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY!!!!!!!! But until that day comes, I will continue to relish in the hilarity that are the NJ Benny's and thank God every day that my upbringing did not sway the way of hair gel and Jaeger bombs.

This video, titled "Douchebag Beach"--which btw, is the best title ever --digs deeper into the soul of the Jersey shore. I must say, it's ALMOST as good as the MTV True Life: I Have A Summer Share. Almost because it's only six minutes of douchebaggery when the MTV special is a whopping 40 minutes of pure cheezebaawl dripping bliss.

But take a look at this hot mess and as you listen to the whimsical tales of clubbin on crutches, choreographed routines atop tables and chairs, philandering, and meat head stealing bitches and hoes, ask yourself--Why do YOU like the Jersey Shore? Also never forget, ya gotta be smilin, ya gotta be dancin , ya gotta be SHAKIN THAT ASS!

UPDATE: Apparently the Douchebag Beach video was taken down but I have found the same video filed under "Guido Beach" instead. Please enjoy Guido Beach

It Has Arrived

The day has finally come. The WOOOOAAAHHH! REMIX is DONE and ready to be shared with the world! WOOOOOAAAHHHHH!

In honor of all the Staten Island/Belmar guidos that recently found themselves shamed from returning to the beauty that is the NJ shore, my dearest pals took to remixing the famed D'jais guido video titled "Wooooooaaahhh!" while we vacationed at my parents Pt. Pleasant bungalow a few weekends ago.

Unfortunately we did not have time to actually make it to D'jais but a few prank phone calls inquiring on the jaeger bomb specials for the night, three viewings of MTV True Life: The Shore, a trip to BAR A (almost as bad) with beer chugging and tricycle riding--jose cuervo gear was dispersed as well, and a few MILLION jokes about the original "WOOOOOAH" resulted in the following masterpiece.

If you've never caught the original "WOOOAAAH" video be sure to view it before watching the remix. You can also take another look at the trailer here.

Now, without further ado, I bring you "WOOOOAHHH! (THE REMIXXXX!)." And, yes, you are welcome.

Beaching It Up with Lizzy Taylor and Dick Burton

This weekend I'm going on a little weekend getaway to my parents' beach bungalow and whenever I go to this house it always makes me want to watch "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

What? That doesn't sound beachy enough to you? Well let me explain then.

The first time I saw this film I was in about 6th or 7th grade and was on vacation for a week with my family at said beach mansion. My mother popped in her VHS copy of this drunken massacre and my sister (about 9 or 10 years old at the time) and I watched in fear and intrigue for the full 2 hours or so that the mayhem lasted.

I remember enjoying the movie but also being kind of weirded out that this was the movie my mom chose to show us at this point in our lives. But to my mom, as long as it was in B&W, inappropriate or not, it was quality film so our age made no difference. I guess that would explain why my sister was completely transfixed and would ask everyday after that for months if we could watch the movie with the drunk lady and the fighting. She also loved to wear long pearls and carry wine glasses filled with orange juice with her to the bathroom (this was prior to seeing the movie) so I guess it wasn't too shocking at how taken she was by Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton's fanciful abuse.

So anywayyyy, basically this film reminds me of my childhood, is that wrong? Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze in a viewing in between swimming and stuffing my face. Enjoy!
