So I did it. I went to the loudest show ever last night and let me tell you, I'm not sure if it was worth it :(
I guess if my life long dream was to experience a sonic boom then thanks MBV, you made my dream come true. But in reality that's far from what my lifelong dream would be. The show was a spectacle to say the least. I HEARD there were AWESOME animations being projected for each song, but alas I could not see them due to my height and the constant beams of flashing white light causing me to seizure every time I attempted to take a look.
As an event, it was truly an experience. Definitely the loudest f-ing show ever, and a complete sensory overload. At some points it was so loud my jugular was shaking and I thought I might throw up out of my nose. An experience? Yes. Comfortable? Jesus no.
It's not that I dislike loud shows or anything, it's just that it was SO LOUD the entire time you could barely make out a single song. It just sounded like constant cutting in and out of some douche bag blasting his bass on a street corner. There was also a full 15 minutes of this wall of noise that made me drop to my knees from the pain. People kept screaming "Louder! We Want It Louder!" because they had probably heard about or went to the show the night before and knew what to expect. But when I heard someone else scream "Just Play Good" I thought "oh thank God" it' not me just being a cranky old bitty. This is actually insane and not very fun.
I couldn't handle you MBV. You're just too much. You killed me. But good work you did it, you made 1/4 of NYC spontaneously combust.
Check out this clip from the wall of noise and imagine standing in that while your pants and nostrils vibrated for 15 minutes. You'll want to cry too. Also beware the creep halfway through ;)

Vibrating pants might not be such a bad thing. just sayin
YEAH SAVAGE!!! You should invent gold lame vibrating pants. If you THINK Speidi wouldn't be wearing them at their next soup kitchen appearance I'd have to immediately issue you a citation for incorrection.
Oh my god... Frank's face in that video is hilarious. I am laughing so hard I'm crying. That one guy right before Frank is knodding his head, jamming out to that mess. What a toolbag.
